QPTV's program schedule consists of Series and Specials.
All program applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are not a guarantee for a timeslot.
Series Programs are scheduled through QPTV's Lottery Process.
Specials are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis in any available time slots in our schedule.
We will accept two (2) tapes per submission at one (1) submission per month.
Specials are scheduled at least a month in advance.
QPTV accepts programs on DVCAM format only.
Tapes must be properly labeled.
Half-hour programs may not exceed 28:30 and hour programs may not exceed 58:30.

Eligibility
QPTV’s 2012 Community Viewers Choice Competition honors and promotes community media and QPTV’s local cable programs.
QPTV welcomes entries from media professionals and non-professionals to participate in QPTV’s 2012 Community Viewers Choice Competition. The programs must have aired on QPTV’s channels on or between January 1st, 2011 and December 31st, 2011.

Entry Format | Internet Competition -Complete the entry on-line. Submitters must go to QPTV’s website at www.qptv.org. Note: Absolutely no mail or voice mail entries.
Judging | This competition is based on the number of viewers that vote for a single program. Therefore, the programs are not being judged, they’re being supported by viewer votes.
Disqualification | Entries will be disqualified if: The program did not cablecast on QPTV’s channels on or between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
Indemnification | Queens Public Television is not responsible for internet glitches.
Awards | Awards will be announced in the spring.

Entry Form Info
Enter the access producer’s name and the individual program episode title.
A submitter can enter as many programs as he /she wishes. However, a submitter can only enter programs that were cablecast on QPTV’s channels on or between January 1st, 2011 and December 31st, 2011.
Once a submission is made, the entry will automatically generate a link that can be sent to friends and family. Just remember, it’s strongly recommended that the submitter forward the link to friends and family members in order to receive more votes. Once the submission is completed anyone in the world can vote for a program. The winners will be announced in the spring. Good Luck!
FAQ’s
1. Can anyone from the community nominate a program? Yes, anyone can nominate any QPTV program.
2. Are there program categories? Yes. Submissions are categorized by program type: Series or Special.
3. Can a submitter enter a program that was part of a series and a separate program that was classified as a special? Yes, each program is eligible for submission. A submitter can only enter one program at a time and would count as two separate entries.
4. What if a submitter enters two programs by the same producer and receives 50 votes for one program and 20 votes for the second, do you add the two totals together to equal 70? No, each program stands on its own merits.
5. What if a program was turned in on December 31, 2011, but didn’t get to play until January 1, 2012? The entry would be disqualified. The show has to play on or between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
6. Will there be a video shown on the web to accompany the entry? No.
7. When will winners be announced? In the spring.
8. Does it matter if the submission is a 30 or 60 minute program? No, each entry can be voted for on an individual basis.
9. What if a submitter doesn’t have access to the internet? This is an internet competition; therefore, it is recommended that the submitter utilize a public library, friend, or family member with internet access.
10. Can a submitter go to QPTV’s Flushing facility to complete an entry? No.
11. Once the link is generated, is it QPTV’s responsibility to forward the link to the general public? No, once the link is generated, it is the submitter’s responsibility to forward the link.
12. Can a submitter enter a program that was produced and cablecast in a previous year, and then re-cablecast on or between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011? Yes, as long as the program was cablecast on or between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
13. Does the entered program need to be a produced by a certified access producer? No, any QPTV program is eligible, as long as the program was cablecast on or between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
14. Can a nominated producer vote for his/ her own program? Yes.
15. Is there a limit to the number of times that you can vote for a program? No, voting is unlimited.
16. Can the general public, individuals that happen to peruse QPTV’s website, vote for a nominated program? Yes, anyone can enter a producer and the respective program as long as it was cablecast on or between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011. Furthermore, once a program has been nominated, anyone can vote for it.
