Transitional Services for New York, Inc. (TSINY) celebrated 36 years of community based services providing innovative and successful programs to persons with mental disabilities and their families. TSINY currently serves over 2,500 individuals annually via a residential clinic, socialization programs, vocational training, counseling, outreach, and more. Since 1975, TSINY has provided a continuum of rehabilitative services to enrich the lives of the mentally ill and facilitate their transition to increased levels of independence.

The Honorable Frank Padavan, New York State Senator, served as Master of Ceremonies for TSINY’s Annual Dinner Gala to commemorate their successes and the selfless commitments of the honorees: Terri Mangino, Lifetime Achievement Award; Dr. James Muyskens, Educator of the Year; Dr. Jeffrey Horwitz, Physician of the Year; Ira Futterman, Esq., Legal Defender of Our Rights Award; and Susan Agin, Alfred Cahn Community Service Award. The Honorable Joel Miele, Chairman of TSI Cares, was on hand to present the much-deserved awards. TSINY’s Larry Grubler, Psy. D., Chief Executive Officer, and Sandra Delson, Ed. D, Director of Public Affairs and Development, were delighted to be able to recognize those who have done so much for their organization.

TSINY is and will continue to be recognized as a leader of rehabilitative and social services. This heroic not-for-profit organization displays a great deal of compassion and honor in its mission to strengthen and improve the lives of individuals with mental disabilities.
