Did you miss Queens Council on the Arts hottest dance party? No worries, tune in to Queens Perspectives as Clifford Jacobs and Roslyn Nieves bring you QCA’s Fab at 50 Dance Party! QCA’s Executive Director Hoong Yee Lee Krakauer and board member Gianna Cerbone Teoli kicked off the party with the melodic tunes of DJ Rampage Global and a spectacular performance by the legendary Nona Hendryx featuring Will Calhoun from Living Colour, bassist Warren McCray and guitarist Ronny Drayton. The energy was of epic proportions. Queens Borough President Melinda Katz was at the event and paid tribute to QCA’s founder Jeanne Dale Katz (her mom), legislators, QCA staff members, and the community for supporting arts and culture in the borough of Queens. Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer, Senator Michael Gianaris, and Nick Gulotta, from the Mayor’s office, were also in attendance. The event took place at LIC Landing, a spectacular waterfront park set against the jaw-dropping backdrop of Manhattan.
